Rolling Hills Refresh: Before & After

Aaahh... Who doesn't love a little Before & After makeover post? Our Rolling Hills clients came to us because they were ready for a refresh of the main living areas of their home. With young, active children and two busy careers, there was no time or energy to put into pulling together a cohesive, cozy living space - which is exactly what this family was craving. In addition, the front entry featured a stairwell and floor tile that was outdated, and didn't help to make a great first impression upon entering this lovely home.

We suggested a fresh, airy color palette; lots of non-overhead lighting options (floor lamps, table lamps and candles); natural fiber accents like jute and seagrass; durable, kid-proof fabrics; and vignettes that offered storage solutions and created a more curated feel. And since the stairwell's handrail, spindles and newel posts were in great shape, we suggested painting them vs. replacing them, which delivered a sustainability win.

The result? Bright, comfortable, approachable living spaces that lift our clients' spirits and elicit a sense of calm.
